Shooting schedule

Time of the day

What did we plan to do in this time?

Was it successful? How did you achieve it?

1:30pm
Arrive and meet at Ethan’s house
Yes, everyone turned up on time
1:45pm
Test equipment, check the battery charge, the outdoor lighting and the camera itself.
We had left the outdoor lighting kit and battery for the camera charge overnight and then changed them with back up batteries in case they ran out.
2pm
Check the locations of the street outside where we would film the actress being taken, and to check the Wendy house
Yes, we were able to see there was a lot of cleaning to be done on the Wendy house as it has not been touched in a while.
2:30pm
Clean the Wendy house, use an extension lead to get the hoover into the garden and take any objects that was in there previously
It look longer than expected to move objects that were already in the Wendy house and to clean and hoover the floor
3:45pm
Have a 15 minute break
----------------------------------------
4:00pm
Go to homebase to buy wood in order to create the final side of the coffin
Yes, we measured out the size of the Wendy house a few days before and looked on the homebase website to find the correct size of wood so all we had to do was go and collect it. We also took a note of the tone of colour the wood is in order to make the sides of wood match.
5:00pm
Build the final side of the coffin inside the Wendy house
We used masking tape and blue-tack to stick the planks of wood together onto the frame of wood we already had. It turned out to be a success as the actress could now push on the walls to make it look she is in a confined space.
6:00pm
Actress and Actor to turn up at this time
Yes, both Sophie Langsford and Alex Wall turned up on time
6:15pm
Actor and Actress to change to put on their costumes and make-up
We were able to rip Sophie’s shirt in the second scene of the film, and she brought her makeup and made it look as If she had received a black eye.
6:40pm
Explain the plot to the actor and actress and direct them to what we want to create and include in the thriller.
We had already organised the storyboard and plot beforehand, so the actress and actor found it easy to understand what we wanted from them.
7:00pm
Film all of the outside scene
Direct the actors and actresses. Film a variety of shots in order to have a choice and repeat shots if they didn’t look as good as we wanted.
7:45pm
Have a dinner break
------------------------------------------
8:45pm
Film the buried alive scene in the coffin
Try and create a variety of shots in the coffin and finding the correct lighting using the outdoor lighting kit so it was not too dark or too light.
10:00pm
View back all the footage on VCR and check whether anything needed to be recorded
We decided as a group that we were happy with all the footage we made
